Welcome to the House with Tradition Lectar in Radovljica. This medieval town is nestled between the Julian Alps and the Karawanks. It lies in an idyllic location between the Julian Alps and the Karawanks.
We are a Slovenian family dedicated to preserving Slovenian culture and tradition. The family restaurant Lectar, offering Slovenian cuisine, has been located in the center of Radovljica since 1822. The restaurant also includes a hotel with a long tradition of hospitality and a gingerbread museum.
Gostilna Lectar from Radovljica was founded more than 200 years ago and has become synonymous with Slovenian cuisine. With its long tradition and dishes such as žganci, Carniolan sausage, and apple strudel, this legendary Upper Carniola inn is a true ambassador of Slovenian culinary heritage.
In 2025, we also opened the Ljubljana inn “Ja, pr’ Lectar”, which we like to call “Lectar number two.” The new restaurant follows the same philosophy—preserving authentic Slovenian flavors—as you already know from our Radovljica inn.
